Fake vents modified to have much smaller functional vents. I wish they would just style them to follow function in the first place.

It’s interesting how much of car design is related to making the car look good in pictures. I suspect most owners spend about zero time looking at a car in the views most photographed. Granted, it is a polarizing design but I bet those vents look just great from the drivers seat.

It would be an interesting study to see the consumer visual perception for a Golf R vs Type R and then look at the sales of each for 2019 to draw conclusions on the benefits of aggressive styling,,,,

For me, if I am getting a 300 hp car, I want it to be racy....

Which car doesn’t have fake non functional parts/ vents these days . Sti. Mustangs, even the demon who’s got tons of power but can’t put any of it down should be declared fake as well, j ust cuz they are fake for normal people doesn’t mean they don’t serve a purpose in professional racing. It’s to cut cost and you can take the vents in and have the cut out which is much cheaper than drag radials btw.
